February Meeting Plan

First off, for people going to the ski camp there is a print off guide on Kirk's blog. Ok, February's first meet we have game and opening. Think of games! The theme is scout history, things like scouting in other countries, and the first scouting trip at Brown Sea island history. See you on Tuesday!

Boy scouting experience

Since joining our troop, I have been at 2 campouts: Camp Oyo and Blue Springs caverns. I've been around Grove City  and I've seen amazing things. I've seen a blacksmith in action,  the  fire department use the "The Jaws of Life", and I've been to a few outdoor scout activities like mulching and plant guarding. Boy scouting is a great experience. Also, our Scout Master, Kirk Bohanan, has his own website that you should check out for all the latest Boy Scout news. Go to http://136troop.blogspot.com/ .

Gantz Park

Gantz Park was fun, we guarded the plants for the plant sale. The older scouts taught me euchre  and we ate pizza. I hope Thunderbase was fun for those who went but I couldn't because I had opening day.

Summer camp early bird over!

Summer camp early bird is over but you can still go for a non discounted price of $270.00 dollars. Summer camp will be an opportunity to get lots of requirements done (for all the scout ranks, the second page is for summer camp but you can still work on them for summer camp).

Gantz Park

For hose of you that are not going to thunder base, that weekend we meet at Gantz park to do flower duty. Please try to attend if you are not going to Thunderbase like me!

Blacksmith from century village in action!

For those of you who were not there on April 22, we went to century village and saw a blacksmith in action. He showed us how a piece of  iron can go from a bar to a utility (a tool to move coal around) in a matter of minutes. He taught us the difference between clean to rotten iron and clean coal to normal coal. He was a very skilled blacksmith and my hat's off to him.
